Orange Apple Festival
Come and celebrate the Orange District's rich history of being an apple growing region. The inaugural Orange Apple Festival featuring all things apples will run from Friday May 10 to Sunday May 12, 2013.

Celebrate all things Apples - our region, its history, as an orchard area and the fruit itself.

Apple on the green
Duntryleague Golf will hold a competition where golfers will be challenged to hit golf balls closest to the apple on the green.
Orange Art Society
Exhibition of apple paintings. Orange Cultural Centre, Sale Street.
Visit a local grower or find Orange apples at the following stockists:
Fresh on Woodward, Hillside Orchard, Harris Farm Markets, A Slice of Orange or Totally Local or many of the farm gates and Orchards in the Orange Region.
Friday 10th May
Schools are currently planning activities. This year we are introducing 'The Big Crunch' where children across the district will strive to ‘set a record’ to eat apples at the same time.
Bed & Breakfast and motels will be displaying Apples in bowls at reception and on the pillow in rooms as a welcome gesture to highlight the Festival.
Restaurants & cafes are offering menus throughout the festival where apples will feature as the ‘hero’ ingredient on the plate and in the glass.
Look out for apples and apple pies, jams and chutneys for sale, an Art Exhibition by the Orange Art Society and a VIP High Tea in the Orange City Centre through the day from 11am.

Orchard and Packing Shed Tour
10am. Visit a local apple orchardist, walk through the apple orchards, see a packing shed in action, taste apples straight off the tree. Bus departs Cook Park (Kite Street) 10.00am & returns noon to Cook Park. Cost: donation to the growers – $5 per person / $15 per family Bookings 0425 259 350
